Wibloc standard block

Because the blocks interlock, the total length of the structure increases by 1.65 metres for each additional block. In other words, each extra connected block extends the whole by an effective length of 1.65 metres.

Wibloc offers gates ranging from 3 to 10 metres, allowing roads to be easily closed off completely. Thanks to their design, they can be reopened just as quickly to provide emergency services with free passage.

In certain situations, it may be more practical to connect Wibloc elements sideways rather than via the standard end-to-end connection. This may be the case, for example, when the available space is limited, when a specific passage needs to be kept clear, or when the on-site situation requires an alternative arrangement.
To ensure maximum flexibility, we offer Wibloc elements with both left- and right-hand connections. This way, for any configuration – whether straight, curved, or in a complex layout – the most efficient and safest connection can always be achieved.

Left-hand connection

Our standard blocks are 70 cm high, but for added safety, we have developed a special panic passage. This element features a lowered section of 30 cm in height over a width of 1.5 metres, allowing people to escape quickly and easily in emergencies, even in dense crowds. Thanks to the continuous concrete reinforcement, the structural strength is fully preserved, enabling the block to be seamlessly placed between standard Wiblocs without any loss of stability or strength.

We also supply flower boxes that can be easily placed on top of the Wiblocs or – if desired – on a panic block. In the latter case, the flower box is the same height as the adjacent blocks, creating a uniform appearance. The flower boxes not only increase the total weight, thereby enhancing the stability of the structure, but also provide a friendlier and more attractive look. The greenery softens the robust or industrial character of the installation, allowing it to blend more harmoniously into the streetscape without losing its functional properties.

Right-hand connection
